RSS (Subscribe for Free)

Want every new Brickyard article sent to your feed reader? Want to subscribe to the Brickyard’s RSS feed? Have any clue what I’m talking about?

RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” I’m not positive I completely understand it, myself, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy its benefits. Basically, it’s a way to have entries from your favorite blogs all over the Internet sent to a single place, so you can read them all together at your leisure. That way, you just open your “feed reader,” and it will show you all the blog articles you want to read, without having to go to each blog to find out if it has been updated. As soon as a new post goes up – *boom* – it’s sent to your feed reader or emailed to you, if you prefer.

Wikipedia gives some more of the technical details here. To find a feed reader, check out a list here. Google and Yahoo! have pretty good ones.

Here is The Cubs Brickyard’s feed. Just go there, and you can subscribe to our feed (and get yourself set up with a feed reader and all that good stuff). You can even get the newest articles sent right to you via email.
